I’d like to introduce the term nightmare mind-virus as a synonym for wetiko. This coinage captures an aspect of this virus of the mind that adds to and complements the name wetiko.

So often, it seems the things that happen to us in life are not so much about what is happening in the moment, but rather are about placing us on a path to lead the way for others.

Practicing authenticity is challenging for anyone regardless of age. Authenticity requires us to recognize discrete sensations, emotions, and thoughts. It requires developing somatic and emotional intelligences.

Science shows that self-esteem plays a key role with certain mental disorders, particularly those of anxious and depressive nature.

You need to be able to apply any learned principles to your field and to other fields as well. Unless you experientially understand the principle itself—not just the description or method used to invite you to get it—and are able to live it, breathe it, and “be” it, mastery will remain elusive.

The pursuit of mastery is not an easy road. But if you don’t think it’s possible for you personally, you’re not likely to pursue it.
