Think about the last time someone genuinely noticed something good in you — not flattery, but a real, sincere moment of recognition. Remember how that felt? Now think about how rarely it happens, and how hungry most people are for exactly that. The truth is, you hold that power. Every single day, in ordinary moments, you can be the person who calls forth the best in someone else — and in doing so, bring out the best in yourself.
 
The focus for today is:
I give more attention to what is working and what I want to happen, than to what is not working and what I do not want to happen.
 
Today's message is inspired by Alan Cohen, author of the book: A Daily Dose of Sanity: A Five-Minute Soul Recharge for Every Day of the Year
Alan shares the wisdom of Dale Carnegie's simple suggestion: "Give the other person a fine reputation to live up to!" He illustrates it with a memorable story — a teacher who treated a class of struggling students as gifted, simply because she misread locker numbers as IQ scores. Every student rose to meet her expectations. As Alan puts it, "People will become as magnificent or inept as you label them." At every moment, you are scripting the people around you by the way you see them and the words you speak about them. Make the numbers high ones.
