Overview: January 19 - 25, 2026
CROSSING A THRESHOLD: Major events are likely to occur over the course of the next 10 days, as each of the four planets that have been part of the Capricorn stellium enters Aquarius and immediately conjoins catalytic Pluto. We are shifting from realistic, restrictive, authoritative Capricorn, which has dominated the first half of January, to idealistic, rebellious, equality-minded Aquarius. This shift may involve some drama, given that Pluto will be so closely involved. We could also see hidden information exposed that contributes to the theatrics.
The first to cross the Aquarius threshold was Venus on January 17; with the goddess of Love and Beauty now aligned with transformational Pluto (exact on January 19), there could be significant changes in relationships, alliances, and financial matters. On an individual level, the Venus-Pluto alignment represents a desire for greater honesty and intimacy in personal relationships. This can be a time for significant insights into our deeper needs in this area. Some may experience possessiveness or jealousy and feel a need to control another's actions.
The Sun is next in line, entering Aquarius on January 19 and conjoining Pluto on the 23rd. The solar month of Aquarius (January 19-February 18) is typified by a heightened need to know, a desire for freedom from restrictions and expectations, and a wish to connect with like-minded others. People may be very strong-willed and determined when the Sun aligns with Pluto, which can exacerbate power struggles.
Mercury will enter Aquarius on January 20, conjoin the Sun on the 21st, and conjoin Pluto on the 22nd. Throughout this three-day period, the need to know the truth is highlighted; secrets could be uncovered and information sources may be revealed. Conversations are intense and direct. Some may use words to manipulate, intimidate, or coerce.
Mars brings up the rear of the parade, entering Aquarius on January 23. While Mars is in the eleventh sign (until March 2), there is a strong need to be free and independent, with a heightened resistance to being controlled or coerced. Since Mars moves more slowly than the other personal planets, its conjunction with Pluto will not perfect until January 27. That being said, we are likely to feel the energies of the dynamic Mars-Pluto alignment for several days leading up to the 27th. This powerful planetary combination enhances ambition, passion, and determination, but also can increase willful behaviors and subversive activities.
STABILITY AMIDST CHANGE: Thankfully, we have some stabilizing planetary influences we can call upon this week. A long-term harmonious aspect between Saturn and Uranus perfects on Monday, and is enhanced by Mars. The Saturn-Uranus sextile helps us be deliberate and practical as we go about implementing the changes we want to see in our own lives and in the world. This aspect supports taking concrete steps that will result in long-term progress.
With Mars sextile Saturn, we have the spiritual wisdom and can harness the energy needed to achieve our goals. And, with Mars trine Uranus, we are inspired to act from our intuition and are willing to take risks. With Mars, Saturn, and Uranus all working in harmony together, we have a strong desire to make things happen and also have the courage to take necessary action.

Monday
Sun sextile Neptune: This gentle aspect helps us open our hearts, both to feel compassion for others and to access our own deeper knowing.
Sun enters Aquarius: The Sun will be in Aquarius from January 19 to February 18. During this month, we may experience a heightened desire for freedom from restrictions. Innovative ideas and intuition are more accessible, and we may wish to connect with like-minded others.
Venus conjunct Pluto: We may have significant insights into our values and our relationships at this time. There is a strong need for greater intimacy and honesty. Affections are deepened and some may be powerfully drawn into a relationship or a creative project.
Saturn sextile Uranus, Mars trine Uranus, Mars sextile Saturn: These harmonious aspects help us have the courage, stamina, willpower, and wisdom to embrace and enact significant changes.
Tuesday
Mercury sextile Neptune, Mercury trine Sedna: Intuition and the imagination are strong, and we could have important insights into our spiritual calling.
Mercury enters Aquarius: Mercury will be in Aquarius from January 20 to February 6. During these short weeks, we tend to be more open to new, inventive, or progressive ideas. The mind is eager to share what it knows.
Sun trine Sedna: This aspect can help us see more clearly how to align with our soul's higher purposes.
Wednesday
Sun conjunct Mercury: This alignment emphasizes communications and our capacity to learn new information. With both planets also conjunct Pluto, conversations are likely to be intense.
Thursday
Mercury conjunct Pluto: We could tend to be more instinctive than logical in our reasoning at this time. The mind is motivated to seek out the truth. Words can be used very persuasively. Some may be overly suspicious or drawn to verbal power struggles.
Mars sextile Neptune: In quiet times, this aspect helps us tap into our intuition and receive inspiration about our next steps. It also supports our releasing anger and resentment.
Friday
Mars enters Aquarius: Mars will be in Aquarius from January 23 to March 2. During this five-week period, the desire to act freely and without restriction is strong. People may be more rebellious and behaviors could be unexpected or erratic. At the same time, since Aquarius is a social sign, we could be drawn to take action with a group of like-minded others.
Sun conjunct Pluto: People may be very strong-willed and determined with this alignment.
Saturday
Mars trine Sedna: This aspect supports taking action that is in accordance with our spiritual destiny.
